Highland Yarn Festival Bag

Hands up who's been missing the yarns festivals this year? It's not just the opportunity to squish new yarn, but the chance to catch up with friends and make new ones. This is even more important in the craft sector where so many of us work alone and miss the day to day support of colleagues. Face to face gatherings with other makers and customers can give a huge boost to our wellbeing, as well as our sales.

I'm not the only one missing out this year, so I got in touch with some of the other dyers that I'd normally meet during festivals to bring together the Highland Yarn Festival Bag.

As the name suggests, it's a yarn festival in a bag!

The idea is to replicate that discovery experience that we love at yarn festivals, along with all the little extras that make those days so special.

Last year I wrote the Highland Yarn Guide to celebrate the amazing selection of yarn businesses that exist around the Highlands, and encourage more visitors by highlighting 5 routes to visit them all.

So who better to ask to collaborate on the contents of the Festival Bag than those fantastic independent yarn loving folks?

Each of these amazing and authentic Scottish based hand dyers is contributing one skein to each bag. The bags also include stitch markers, greeting cards and hand made buttons.

I'm just so excited to present a genuine celebration of Highland yarns and I can't wait to get the parcels out for everyone to enjoy that special moment of discovery.
